To help the studio-incubated cosmetics brand reach new audiences and boost cultural relevance, we commissioned three emerging artists to develop a project that advanced new ideas of beauty. Exemplifying the hard-working spirit of Smashbox, each received a grant, access to state-of-the-art studio space and equipment, and mentorship from veteran photographers and designers.

Final works debuted in a jam-packed group show at Smashbox Studios, which mobilized influential creatives, media, and industry leaders around the brand and built equity in LA’s creative community.
